Recap
Bakery Square has never played the blue team well. Cranberry pitches good and plays smart. Sometimes the Bandidos don’t do that (at least the ladder).
Ryan Gallagher pitched another gem for the Bandidos, but the scoreboard would not indicate such a happening. Thanks to some awful first base play by yours truly, the Bandidos went down easily in this game.
As always there is more than one thing to contribute to a loss, as the Bandidos left 7 runners on base and let pitcher Andy Germani have his way with them.
Germani walked 1 batter and other than that, only faced (1) 3-1 count all game. Germani shined in the field as well, making a couple great plays off the mound.
There is no doubt that the lack of focus and practice has caught up with the Bandidos. Expect the Bandidos to play the Crusaders much harder moving forward, as the blue team should not be taken lightly.
Didos En El Rio
Adam James kept up the hot hitting, gathering two more hits.
Kieran Moyal has shown that he is a capable second baseman, making the majority of the plays he should.
J Friend at 1b in 2018–not the J Friend we saw in the playoffs in 2017. Look for him to regain his form sooner than later.
