Recap
The Bandidos rode the momentum of their forfeit-win and their intra-squad scrimmage from Friday night by putting in an acceptable effort Sunday against Big Oil. When in doubt, turn to Ryan Gallagher. That has been the approach for the Bandidos for years and the squad got back to that today.
Gallagher pitched a strong 6 innings for the Didos, limiting the Oilers to little action offensively. Gallagher’s outing included a stretch where he had 4 straight strikeouts and was dominant for a few innings.
The Bandidos bats finally came alive in the 4th inning, scoring runs for the first time in 3 games. The scoreless drought was somewhere around 25 innings straight. Although the Bandidos scored 6, they still managed to leave 11 runners on base.
DIDOS EN EL RIO
The Bandidos secured two victories over the weekend, bringing their record to 2-7 for 2019.
The Bandidos face Big Oil one more time on this upcoming Tuesday.
Oilers don’t shake hands–One player Thursday night. A different player Sunday. Are the Bandidos doing something to cause this or is it a sign of disrespect on the Oiler’s behalf? Or is it simply poor sportsmanship? Not sure. But the Bandido’s Manager has made the Oiler’s manager aware. Manager Eric Friend went out of his way, into the Oiler’s dugout to go shake hands with the player from Sunday.
